Terms and Conditions

All tickets are sold subject to our full terms and conditions. These terms and conditions should be read carefully prior to purchase and any queries relating to them should be raised with us prior to purchase, as purchase of tickets constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions

Tickets are sold by Lyric Players Theatre Productions Limited.

A valid ticket must be produced to get into a performance. Removing any part of, altering or defacing the ticket may invalidate it.

Tickets are sold subject to our right to make any alterations to the cast or advertised arrangements, without notice.

Every member of the audience, including children/babies, must be in possession of a valid ticket.

Booking Fees
Transactions are subject to the following booking fees (in addition to the published prices)

In person                                             £0.75 per transaction

Telephone sales                                   £1.25 per transaction

Online                                                 £1.00 per transaction

All booking fees are non refundable and cannot be exchanged for credit.

The transaction charge pays for commissions charged by card companies and banks. Any balance is retained by the Lyric Theatre as a contribution to the costs of producing shows and maintaining the theatre. Lyric Players Theatre Productions Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lyric Theatre (NI), a registered charity.

Exchanges & Refunds
Once purchased tickets cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable

Ticket exchanges may be available up to one week prior to a performance at our discretion and where applicable, by agreement with the producing company. Exchanges can only be made for later performances of the same production, subject to a fee. Before honouring an exchange the original ticket must be returned to our box office at least 48 hours before the date of the original booking.

An administration fee per ticket will apply to all exchanges.

All exchanges must be of the same value or higher.

Booking fees are non-refundable.

This exchange offer excludes group bookings of 10 or more tickets.

If a performance goes ahead, we accept no responsibility for tickets that are unable to be used due to circumstances outside of our control, e.g. inclemental weather conditions, transport difficulties etc.

We reserve the right not to accept tickets for re-sale. However, when we do accept tickets for resale, this will only be once all other available tickets are sold, subject to a fee.

Generally no ticket price will be refunded when more than half the performance has taken place, or if the interval has been reached.

We reserve the right to provide alternative seats to those purchased of the same or greater value.

Tickets Lost or Stolen & Ticket Errors
Please check your tickets as mistakes cannot always be rectified after purchase. Please contact us immediately if there is a mistake. Tickets purchased online for the incorrect performance cannot be refunded.

We will not be responsible for any ticket that is lost, stolen or destroyed but we will where possible try our best to issue a duplicate ticket. We reserve the right to apply a reasonable administration charge for the re-issue of tickets.

Ownership or possession of a ticket does not confer any rights (by implication or otherwise) on you to use, alter, copy or otherwise deal with any of the symbols, trade marks, logos and/or intellectual property appearing on the ticket.

Ticket Pricing
The price of the ticket shall be the price set at the time we accept your order. All prices set are inclusive of any applicable taxes but exclusive of any booking fee or delivery fee.

The Lyric Theatre reserves the right to make additional targeted special ticket offers in addition to those published in brochures or on websites from time to time, and to withdraw them at any time.

No order will be accepted until we have received full payment.

Tickets are sold for use by the buyer only (and his or her party) and are not for resale for commercial gain by the holder. We reserve the right to cancel tickets and refuse entry should we have reason to believe this condition has not been respected.

Delivery of Tickets
To avoid credit card fraud, we reserve the right to only deliver tickets to the billing address of the debit/credit card holder.

Tickets purchased within 5 days of a performance will be held at our box office for collection. There is no charge for ticket collection.

If your tickets are not being held at our box office, and you have not received your tickets from us 72 hours prior to the performance, please contact us.

If tickets dispatched by Royal Mail ordinary post, special delivery or registered post are returned to us as "addressee unknown" we reserve the right to cancel your booking and make a refund of the ticket price only.

We reserve the right to make tickets available for collection at our box office.

If you are collecting your tickets from our box office, you must have your acknowledgement of order and the credit/debit card used to make the order with you. You will be able to collect your tickets from ninety minutes prior to the start of the event.

Agency Sales
Charges and allocations may vary and patrons are advised to check carefully when making their booking.

We accept no responsibility for tickets or services purchased via an agency or third party, including group bookers.

Agency sales may be subject to different terms and conditions.

Rights of Admission
We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse admission of the ticket holder to the premises if due reason or cause is given
  • Remove from the premises customers who are considered to be in breach of the house rules, are disruptive or are causing distraction to other audience members during a performance and take reasonable measures to ensure compliance with such a request
  • Refuse entry of, and use on the premises of, any form of audio or video recording equipment
  • Without notice, make any change whatsoever in the performance/event owing to unforseen or unavoidable cause
  • Cancel or abandon the performance/event for resons beyond our control without notice and without being liable to pay any person compensation other than at our discretion, a refund to the ticketholder not exceeding the value of the tickets held
  • Provide alternative seats at a performance to those specified on the ticket if the staging of the performance reasonably requires, provided they are no less value to that stated on the ticket

 All mobile phones and recording equipment must be switched off before entering the auditorium.

By attending a performance, you consent to filming and sound recording of yourself as a member of the audience. We may use such films and recordings (including any copies) without payment.

It is your responsibility to ascertain whether a performance has been cancelled or re-scheduled and the date and time of any re-scheduled performance. Where a performance is cancelled or re-scheduled, we will use our reasonable endeavours to notify you using the details you provided us with at the time of ordering. We do not guarantee that you will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the performance.

It is your responsibility to inform us of any change to the contact address, telephone number or email address you provide us with at the time of ordering.

Discounts & Special Offers
Discounts are available for specific productions/performances, subject to availability. Please note that double discounts do not apply.

Any discount priced tickets must be requested at the time of booking and the sales team may ask to see proof of entitlement before selling tickets at discount or concessionary prices.

We reserve the right to request evidence of a customer’s right to claim a discount and where no evidence is presented, we reserve the right to charge the customer the full price for admission.

All discounts are subject to availability where applicable and can be withdrawn at our discretion, without prior notice and do not apply to tickets already purchased.

Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers have an expiry date of one year from date of issue. Change cannot be given if the cost of the tickets is less than the value of the Gift Voucher.

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and no responsibility will be accepted for Gift Vouchers that are lost, stolen, or damaged and such gift vouchers will not be refunded.

Gift Vouchers will be subject to verification at time of presentation and we reserve the right not to accept any vouchers that have or appear to have been forged, damaged, defaced or otherwise tampered with.

Latecomers
We strongly advise that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time shown on your ticket. We cannot be held responsible for failure to arrive at the correct time.

Latecomers will only be admitted if there is a suitable break in the performance which in some cases may be the interval.

Latecomers must also be aware that they will be seated accordingly to minimise disruption to other patrons and the performers.

Entry cannot be guaranteed.

Babies and Young Children
Children under the age of 2 can only be admitted for performances specifically aimed at children. Such children will be admitted free of charge provided they sit on the accompanying adults lap. Please advise the Box office when booking that you require this and an infant ticket will be printed out for you.

Children over the age of 2 must have a paid ticket.

Buggies and carrycots are not permitted in the auditorium

Children under 14 years old should be accompanied by an adult. Age restrictions may apply to certain performances.

Special Effects
Some performances may contain special effects including, but not restricted to strobe lighting, smoke effects and loud noises.

Statutory Rights
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
