Submitting a Script
The Lyric is keen to support, develop and produce the work of new writers, emerging writers, established writers, mid-career writers and senior writers. New writing will be an essential strand of the Lyric’s future work. We look forward to engaging with writers on a local, national and international basis and to helping develop new scripts.
As we are currently offsite whilst our wonderful new theatre is being built we do not have the capacity to take further unsolicited scripts. We are however currently exploring options for the development of a script reading service for writers. In 2010 the company intends to put this in place and will put full details on this website. Until that time we regret that we can take no more unsolicited scripts.
In the meantime if you are a writer we would be keen to hear from you on what type of script reading service would benefit you the most. We would also like to hear your thoughts on ways the Lyric can help support new writing.
