Have A Lyric Theatre Story To Tell? Share Your Memories!

Got a story to tell? Click here to share your memories

Be a part of theatre history by contributing to the Lyric's Oral History Archive. What was the first show you saw at the Lyric? What theatrical moments held the most impact for you? Were you an audience member recently? In the theatre's early days? Did you participate in programmes, events, even productions? Has the Lyric Theatre shaped how you look at the arts? Where would you like to see the Lyric Theatre go in terms of programming? What sorts of things would you like to see from the newly built Ridgeway Street theatre?

Your stories will be transcribed and held in The Linen Hall Library's Theatre Archive for future generations to study and enjoy.

There are different ways to share your memories:

  1. Visit our state-of-the-art video kiosk to tell your story at the Old Northern Bank, Waring Street, Belfast, from 26th April - 17th May. The video kiosk is accessible both before and after the Stewart Parker productions at the same venue. A selection of videos will be periodically uploaded on this website for other users to view.
  2. Write your story in your own words. Click here to write your Lyric memories for submission in the comments box provided. Written comments will be uploaded on this website from time to time.
