Artistic Director Richard Croxford on The Painkiller

When opening our beautiful new building in May of this year we promised an exciting programme of world class theatre and our production of The Painkiller certainly fits the bill.  As one of the leading cultural organisations of Northern Ireland, it is only fitting that we are bringing such a distinguished cast and creative team to work on this project.

Our full cast are Kenneth Branagh, Rob Brydon, Stuart Graham, Mark Hadfield, Claudia Harrison, Andy Moore and director and adaptor Sean Foley.

We are immensely proud to be producing The Painkiller here at the Lyric Theatre for our audiences.
We are also raising the profile of Northern Irish home grown theatre not just locally but nationally and internationallly. There has already been Worldwide interest for this production with tickets being sold to America, Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia.

Our hugely talented cast and creative team are already working phenomenally hard in rehearsals on the intricacies of the script and staging. I have been lucky enough to have seen a run of the production already and it is simply a joy to behold! I haven't laughed so much at a piece of theatre in years.

So I know our audiences are in for an absolute treat.
